PORTFOLIO

Master Bedroom Interior Design Portfolio

Your master bedroom is the one room in the house that belongs entirely to you. It should feel like it.

At Unique Interior & Design, we’ve completed 50+ master bedroom interior design projects across Dhaka — from compact apartments in Mirpur and Dhanmondi to spacious residences in Gulshan and Baridhara. Every project in this portfolio is real delivered work. No stock renders, no concept-only showcases.

What you’ll see here: built-in wardrobe systems, layered lighting setups, platform beds with integrated storage, dressing units, accent walls, and false ceiling treatments — all designed around how people actually sleep, dress, and live in Dhaka homes.

Why This Portfolio Is Different

Most bedroom portfolio pages show rendered images. What you’re browsing here is actual completed work — photographed after handover, in real homes, for real clients.

Every project reflects a specific brief: the client’s lifestyle, storage requirements, budget, and the physical constraints of their apartment. No two bedrooms in this portfolio are identical because no two clients were.

We’ve been designing and delivering master bedrooms in Dhaka since 2015. That means we know which materials survive the humidity, which wardrobe systems hold up after five years of daily use, and where most bedroom projects go wrong during execution — and how to prevent it.

What Goes Into Our Master Bedroom Designs

A master bedroom isn’t just furniture placement. It’s a system — and every element needs to work together.

Bed & Headboard Design — The bed anchors the room. We design platform beds, upholstered headboards, and storage-integrated bed frames based on your room size, sleep habits, and aesthetic preference. Most of our Dhaka clients opt for beds with under-storage drawers — critical in apartments where storage space is always limited.

Built-In Wardrobe & Storage Systems — Our wardrobes are custom-built to the room’s exact dimensions. Sliding door wardrobes save floor space in tighter rooms. Walk-in closet layouts are designed where space allows. We plan internal organisation — hanging rails, shelving, shoe racks, and drawer modules — not just the outer shell.

Dressing Unit & Mirror Design — A well-placed dressing unit with appropriate lighting transforms the daily routine. We integrate dressing areas into the wardrobe wall or position them to maximise natural light — whichever serves the layout better.

False Ceiling & Lighting Design — Lighting layers separate a good bedroom from a great one. We work with cove lighting for ambient warmth, recessed downlights for functional brightness, and bedside reading lights for task needs. False ceiling treatments also define the bed zone and add architectural depth to otherwise plain slabs.

Wall Treatment & Colour — Bangladesh’s humidity rules out certain finishes that look great in catalogs but deteriorate within two monsoon seasons. We specify moisture-resistant paint systems, PVC wall panels, wallpaper with appropriate backing, and wood-finish laminates that hold up in our climate. Accent walls are designed to anchor the headboard — not compete with it.

Flooring — Vitrified tiles remain the most practical choice for Dhaka master bedrooms — easy to clean, durable, and resistant to humidity. For clients who prefer warmth underfoot, we work with engineered wood or high-quality laminate with proper moisture barriers.

Master Bedroom Design Styles We Deliver

Contemporary Minimalist — Clean lines, neutral tones, and clutter-free surfaces. Works best in apartments under 200 sq ft where visual noise makes the room feel smaller.

Modern Warm — Wood tones, warm whites, and textured fabrics combined with modern furniture profiles. The most requested style across our residential projects in Dhaka.

Classic & Formal — Ornate headboards, rich upholstery, detailed cornices, and symmetrical layouts. Suited to larger bedrooms in premium residences.

Luxury Fitted — Premium imported veneers, backlit niches, custom upholstered walls, and integrated smart lighting. We’ve executed luxury master bedroom designs in Gulshan, Banani, and Bashundhara.

Frequently Asked Questions

Basic setups — bed, wardrobe, lighting, paint — typically start from BDT 1.5–2 lakh for a standard Dhaka apartment bedroom. Mid-range projects with false ceiling, dressing unit, and custom storage run BDT 3–5 lakh. Luxury master bedrooms in premium finishes can exceed BDT 8–10 lakh. We provide a detailed BOQ before any work begins.

A standalone master bedroom project — including carpentry, ceiling work, painting, and flooring — typically takes 20–30 days from site handover. Timeline depends on material availability and scope. Full-apartment projects that include the master bedroom are completed within 45–90 days.

Sliding door wardrobes are the most practical for standard Dhaka bedrooms — they don't need swing clearance, which matters in rooms under 150 sq ft. Hinged wardrobes work well in larger rooms. We custom-build both types with internal organiser systems. Material-wise, moisture-resistant MDF with laminate finish outperforms solid wood sheets in Bangladesh's climate.

Yes — and we recommend it. We design the master bedroom as part of the overall home interior flow, using consistent colour language, material tones, and lighting character across rooms. A bedroom that clashes with the living space is a common problem when rooms are designed independently.

Absolutely. Many of our master bedroom projects are renovations — replacing old wardrobes, upgrading ceilings, changing flooring, or redesigning the entire layout within the existing structure. We assess the current state during site visit and recommend what to retain versus replace.
