Duplex House Interior Design in Dhaka

A duplex isn’t a bigger flat. It’s two zones — public downstairs, private upstairs — connected by a staircase that has to work as hard visually as it does functionally.

We plan the ground floor around open living: drawing room, dining, and kitchen flowing into each other with minimal walls. This keeps the space feeling bigger even on a standard 3–4 katha Dhaka plot. Upstairs, bedrooms get more enclosure and quieter finishes.

The staircase gets the most design attention on any duplex project. We’ve used floating glass-rail stairs, cove-lit landings, and double-height voids above the stairwell to pull daylight down into the ground floor — a trick that matters in Dhaka, where plots sit close together and natural light is limited.

We don’t chase trends for their own sake. If a client’s budget or plot doesn’t suit a double-height living room, we say so upfront and design around what actually works for the space.
