A boy’s bedroom needs to do a lot. It’s where he sleeps, studies, keeps his things organized, and sometimes just needs a space that feels like his own. Whether your son is 7 or 17, the room has to work for his daily life — not just look good in photos.
We have been designing boys bedroom interiors across Dhaka since 2015. Every project you see here started with a real family, a real apartment, and a real budget. No showroom mockups.
Every family comes to us with different needs. So every project looks different.
Some parents want a simple, clean room for a young boy — a proper bed, a study table with good light, a wardrobe that actually holds everything. Others want something more designed — a themed room for a sports-loving teenager, or a compact shared bedroom that works for two brothers in a Mirpur or Mohammadpur flat.
We have done all of these. Small rooms under 100 sq ft. Larger bedrooms in duplex homes in Mohammadpur. Shared boys rooms in mid-range apartments in Bashundhara. Single rooms for teenagers who wanted the design to feel like their own choice.
The age range of our boys bedroom projects goes from 5 to 18. A room for a 6-year-old needs safe furniture, easy access to toys, and a small study corner. A room for a 16-year-old needs a serious study setup, more wardrobe space, and a design that doesn’t feel childish. We adjust the design approach based on age — not just aesthetics.

A well-designed boys bedroom is not just about paint color or a nice bedsheet. Here is what actually makes the room work well:
Space Layout First
Before we pick any furniture, we plan the layout. Where the bed goes, where the wardrobe goes, where the study table gets the best natural light — these decisions decide whether the room feels spacious or cramped. In most Dhaka apartments, boys bedrooms are 90–130 sq ft. Getting the layout right in that size is everything.
Study Table Setup
Boys in Bangladesh spend a lot of time studying. A proper study table — the right height, with enough surface space for books and a laptop, with a dedicated shelf above it — makes a real difference. We position it near the window so there’s natural light during the day, and we add a task light for evening study.
Wardrobe Design
Most standard wardrobes waste space. We design wardrobes that match the boy’s actual clothes and accessories — separate sections for school uniforms, casual clothes, shoes, bags, and cricket or football gear if needed. Full-height wardrobes are our standard recommendation in smaller rooms because they use vertical space and free up the floor.
Bed and Headboard
We choose bed sizes that fit the room — not oversize beds that leave no space to move. For shared rooms with two boys, a bunk bed setup with a study area underneath is often the smartest solution. Headboards are designed to add character without dominating a small room.
Color and Finish
Boys rooms typically do well with cooler, bolder tones — blues, greys, dark greens, navy — or clean neutral whites with colored accents. We consult with the boy directly on color when he is old enough to have a preference. A 14-year-old who picked his own room color takes care of it differently than one who got whatever his parents chose.
Lighting
We use ceiling lights for general brightness, a task lamp over the study table, and warm LED strips or accent lighting for the headboard area. Good lighting in a study zone improves focus. This is a small detail that most rooms in Bangladesh skip — and it shows.
Ventilation and Fan Placement
Bangladesh’s climate is hot and humid for most of the year. Fan placement and window positioning matter a lot for comfort. We always check that the bed is positioned to get airflow and that the wardrobe placement doesn’t block the window. Simple — but important.
We don’t use a standard template for boys bedroom design. Each project starts with a site visit, a conversation with the parents, and if possible, a few questions for the boy himself.
What we hear most from families after handover: “The room looks like it was made for him.” That’s the goal.
A few things that make our process different:
Our boys bedroom service includes room layout planning, furniture design and fabrication (bed, wardrobe, study table, storage units), lighting plan, false ceiling design if needed, wall and paint finish selection, and complete installation. We handle the full project — design to handover.
In small rooms — 90 to 120 sq ft, which is very common in Dhaka apartments — we focus on layout first. The right bed size, full-height wardrobe to use vertical space, and a study corner built into an alcove or wall can make a small room feel complete and uncluttered. We have done dozens of compact boys bedroom projects across Dhaka and Chattogram.
Blues, greys, navy, and dark green are popular for boys rooms and work well in Dhaka's natural light. For younger boys, brighter accent colors like orange or yellow on one wall add energy without making the room feel overwhelming. For teenagers, more muted, sophisticated tones look better and last longer as their tastes change.
Yes. Shared boys bedrooms are a common brief for us. We use bunk bed setups when floor space is tight, design two separate study corners with defined zones, and use the wardrobe to create a visual separation between sides if the room allows it. The goal is for each boy to feel the room has his own space — not just a shared mess.
Most boys bedroom projects complete in 3 to 5 weeks from confirmed design to handover. Projects with more complex custom furniture or false ceiling work may take up to 6–7 weeks. We give a written timeline at project confirmation so you can plan around it — especially for school exam periods when disruption needs to be minimal.
Cost depends on room size, materials chosen, and the level of customization. A basic boys bedroom with standard wardrobe, bed, and study table starts from a moderate range and goes up with premium materials and more complex ceiling or wall design. We give transparent cost estimates after the site visit — no hidden charges.
